Difference Between a Wedding Planner & A Day-Of Coordinator

A few weeks back, we were meeting with one of our potential clients via Zoom, and we’re asked the difference between a wedding planner and a day of coordinator. While explaining the difference to our lovely couple, we realized that we actually get asked this question quite a bit, and from that, a blog was born! So, today, we are going to tell you the Difference Between s Wedding Planner and a Day-Of Coordinator.

Wedding Planner: This is exactly as it sounds, your wedding planner plans your wedding! Now, depending on how much or how little planning they do is completely up to you, of course, but, in our opinion, the more you have them plan, the more fluid and cohesive the wedding is! By your Wedding Planner knowing everything about you as a couple, you as individuals, the idea, look and theme of your wedding, and your budget, they will be able to get the best vendor that is right for you!

Day-Of Coordinator: A Day-Of Coordinator, sometimes called a Month-Of Coordinator, is your insurance for the day, and helps alleviate most, if not all, the work for the last month before the wedding. This package is ideal for anyone who has planned their entire wedding on their own, but knows how important it is to have a coordinator there with them because who wants to be working on their wedding day, right? Now, don’t confuse a Day-Of Coordinator with your OnSite Coordinator as those are two completely different jobs and people (check out our blog here to see how).
