Trends to Adopt in 2021

Another year, another blog about Trends that we’re excited to see in 2021, and which ones you should definitely adopt in your wedding. I know Covid still has us down, but with this warm, beautiful weather comes the home and realization that we will be able to celebrate weddings again! Here are our Top 5 Wedding Trends we think you should adopt in 2021!

  1. Mini Apps: I’ve always wanted this to be a trend, and now I’m really seeing it make a huge impact this year! Everyone loves passed hors d’eurves, but this year I predict individual, plated, mini hors d’eurves served to every guest, which means chefs will be able to be as creative as they want, a thing a lot of chefs miss during weddings and events. Take advantage of what your caterer can do and serve your favourite, large appetizers into small, mini, bite-sized pieces.

  2. Furniture Pieces: Something I love at every wedding, I see lounges coming back in such a way that couples will actually reserve a spot at their venue for lounges with large couches, throw pillows, maybe event carpets, to complete their wedding esthetic.

  3. Weekday Weddings: Since there is no end in sight for most people going back to the office, I see weekday weddings being a thing in 2021. Not only does it allow for more options, it also allows for your ideal, expensive venue to now be in reach since venues tend to be cheaper in cost during the week than they are on weekends.

  4. Epic Big Reveals: With Social Media being everywhere, we see couples wanting their first wedding photo to be curated by them, waiting to share their photo with an, almost, editorialized moment. They want to go big or go home, finding “epic” photo locations or aerial shots to capture their wedding.

  5. Coordinated Dress Code: Not only will your bridal party be coordinated in colours and feel, but so will your guests! Gone are the “Black Tie Weddings” and now are the weddings where even the guests and their fashion is coordinated into the colour and palette of weddings.

Oh I cannot wait to see these trends incorporated into your wedding! Contact us today for your initial, free consultation to tell us all about it!
