Behind the Scenes Look at a 2021 Wedding

2021 has been the craziest wedding season that we have ever had the pleasure of working, but nothing was crazier, or more amazing, than getting to work Bianca & Eric’s wedding last month. Although only last month, and the fact that we only have a couple of glimpses of photos for our JLE readers to view right now, it was one of those weddings that we will never forget. Here is a Behind the Scenes Look at a 2021 Wedding.

The couple was originally to be married in September of 2020, but due to Covid restrictions, they needed to postpone their wedding thirteen months later. Originally wanting to get married in a Catholic church, Bianca & Eric, instead, decided to change their plans and get married at Bianca’s parent’s home. Situated on one acre, Bianca wanted to originally get married outside amongst the trees, without a tent, and although October was seasonally warm, autumn rain was beginning to creep in, and a week before the wedding, it became obvious a tent was required.

Due to Covid restrictions, we were only allowed to have fully vaccinated guests at the reception, but the ceremony space allowed us to have vaccinated and non-vaccinated guests under one tent, provided everyone wore masks. All 150 of the original guest list was able to come and watch this beautiful couple get married under trees of hibiscus provided by OMG Events, and while the couple, their family and closest friends walked down the aisle, yours truly got to officiate the wedding.

Once tears were shed at the beautiful ceremony Jessica performed for our lovely couple, it was time to quickly turn the ceremony space into an impromptu luncheon for all the guests. Originally, the luncheon was to be held on the patio, but rain tossed those plans out the window, so Jessica and her team began bringing out the food and drinks from the main house into the tent, began staking the chairs so guests can mingle, and grabbed whatever items would be repurposed from the ceremony space to the reception space. Once that was completed, Jessica was off to Chateau Le Parc to begin set up there as the bridal party traveled to their photo location.

Originally, their photo location was to be outside in the park the couple took their first stroll in, but again the rain didn’t allow those plans to happen. To allow the couple to still experience a beautiful space for their bridal party photo shoot, Jessica booked an indoor photo studio in Concord, Vogue Studios, for the couple to take phenomenal photos, and boy did they ever – more on that later! ;)

While back at Chateau Le Parc, Jessica was setting up the couples items for their wedding and guests, including their party favours (cute honey jars to “sweeten” the couples future together), the cake cutting and serving utensils, and talking with all the vendors as they arrived to make sure the entire evening was perfect for our beautiful couple. When the couple and the bridal party arrived, they were in utter shock and disbelief as they viewed their venue fully set up, tears in their eyes as their vision had not only come to life, but was more spectacular than they could have even imagined!

Cocktail hour began immediately, and as guests were greeted at the entrance with their masks and vaccine passports in hand, Jessica was making sure the antipasto bar was set up with servers, the bar was open for the guests, and any guest inquiries made were done so through Jessica, and not the couple so they could greet their guests.

Entrances were completed, the couple enjoyed their first dance surrounded by those they loved, and starters were served. We had completed some of the special dances and speeches, but the Best Man hadn’t said his speech during his allotted time slot so, with Jessica to the rescue, she changed her scheduling, discussed some things with the DJ/MC, Captain and couple, and figured out where best to put him so he could speak again about his love for his best friends.
